Independent architect for regulated capital infrastructure

Infrastructure that moves real money, secured to regulator standard.

I build the parts that are not allowed to fail quietly: execution paths, the clocks that timestamp them, and the signing infrastructure that holds the keys. My clients are exchanges, trading firms, and the teams putting autonomous agents next to real capital.

What I argue

Fast is a number you can put on a slide. Predictable is the one that pays.

A venue that stalls twice an hour costs its participants more than one that is uniformly slower, because everyone quoting against it prices that uncertainty in. The same holds for a signing path, a clock, or a kill switch: the average is marketing, the tail is the system. Almost everything I do comes back to one discipline. Measure the tail, publish the method, and treat any number without one as folklore.

What I work on

01

Low-latency infrastructure

Execution paths where the tail is the product: clock discipline, kernel and NIC behaviour, and the measurement that tells you which microseconds you are paying for.

02

Reliability engineering

What happens on the worst day. Failure modes that are actually independent, escalation that reaches a human in time, and controls that fire when they are supposed to.

03

Confidential computing & custody

Signing paths and key custody built to survive an examiner and an adversary. Enclaves, attestation, and policy enforced at the hardware boundary instead of in a document.

Where this comes from

Twelve years inside trading systems and crypto exchanges. Three times, I was the first infrastructure engineer in the building.

  • 2025 to now

    Founder, ZeroCopy Systems

Confidential-computing signing for institutions that cannot hand their keys to a vendor. Pre-launch.

  • 2022 to 2024

    Founding Web3 Infrastructure Engineer

Upside. Owned the wallet infrastructure holding $500M+ across hot, warm, and cold tiers. Sixteen months, zero security incidents.

  • 2021 to 2022

    Founding Cryptocurrency DevOps Engineer

Akuna Capital. Built the crypto desk’s trading infrastructure from nothing, across twelve venues.

  • 2020 to 2021

    Senior Site Reliability Engineer

Gemini. Nanosecond time sync under matching, surveillance, and audit, at $2B+ of daily volume.

  • 2019 to 2020

    Site Reliability Engineer

Pex. Moved the platform from GCP to Azure Kubernetes and took 45% out of the running cost.

  • 2012 to 2018

    Lead Linux Infrastructure Engineer

FlexTrade. Fifteen hundred production Linux systems across five sites, under SOC 2 and MiFID II audit.

Speaking

I speak on low-latency infrastructure, reliability engineering, and emotional arts. Most recently “The Outage You Never See” on the TEDxCMRIT Hyderabad stage. Talks & workshops →

Work with me

No catalog, no booking funnel. I take on a small number of engagements at a time. If the problems above are yours, a tail you cannot explain, a custody design that has to survive examination, controls for agents that touch money, then write to me about what you run and what worries you.
